
This book, fruit of the collaboration between ARIR (Associazione Riabilitatori dell'Insufficienza Respiratoria) and AIPO (Associazione Italiana Pneumologi Ospedalieri), is addressed to respiratory physiotherapists with the purpose to foster the acquisition of those competences that are essential for a proper cooperation between different professional figures and, moreover, to give a fitting answer to our patients' needs. Text opens with a chapter that underlines the need to look after, consider and value the personal aspects of patients. The two following chapters deal with principal signs and symptoms of the cardiorespiratory diseases.Afterwards, there's the section that covers main and more spread instrumental investigations that allow to set out level of impairment; then it follows the part that considers tests and measures of activity and participation of patients suffering from cardiorespiratory disease. In the end, the section about clinical employments, besides some methodolocigal directions, supplies tools for the evaluation of patients with most common respiratory diseases. A book made according to need of a multidimensional assessment and realized with the collaboration of some among major experts in pulmonary rehabilitation. In every chapter, principal elements of the clinical and instrumental assessment are handled, alywas supported by evidences offered by scientific literature. A particular attention to the evaluation procedures makes this text an handy book to be used in the field.
