ARIR is affiliated with the Italian Society for the Study of Cystic Fibrosis

 

The Italian Society for the Study of Cystic Fibrosis (SIFC), excluding all for-profit, aims to achieve the following purposes:

  1. to promote culture and knowledge about Cystic Fibrosis (FC) and associated pathologies (FCpa) through professional training and permanent training activities with associates, including with annual ECM training programmes;
  2. promote studies and research aimed at FC and FCpa, with a strong impetus for inter- and intra-disciplinary relations and multi-centric cooperation;
  3. promote the development and standardization of innovative diagnostic, cure and research methodologies; to promote the development and application of guidelines, shared between Regional Reference Centers (CRR) and the Support Services for FC and professional figures who carry out their activities in the field of FC and FCpa and in collaboration with the Agency for Regional Health Services (A.S.S.R.) and the F.I.S.M.;
  4. spreading knowledge of the social importance of FC and associated diseases in the country;
  5. collaborate with the Ministry of Health, Regions, Universities, Hospitals and other public health bodies and institutions, in order to develop and enhance the specialty in terms of care, teaching, research;
  6. develop scientific relations with other Italian and international societies and scientific organizations, in particular the European Society of Cystic Fibrosis and those dealing with basic disciplines, with an interest in FC and FCpa;
  7. involve all health workers in regional health facilities, including those in the “territory”, such as family doctors, in their cultural and organizational activities;
  8. promote forms of scientific cooperation with industry, institutions, voluntary associations, service companies for the realization of institutional purposes.
