OPEN TO ALL health care professions

JIVD, a non-for profit association based in Lyon, has been organizing 12 international meetings. Since 2012 the meetings have been organized jointly with ERCA. In the last meeting more than 1500 attendants from different countries have actively participated.

JIVD-ERCA has some characteristics that make it a relationship scenario different from conventional scenarios. Patient involvement is a main trait of JIVD-ERCA. The programme and faculty are multiprofessional and this makes JIVD-ERCA very different from programs that focus from the perspective of a scientific society or a disease. The main interest of JIVD-ERCA is the “real world” with the interaction of all stakeholders: patients and caregivers, healthcare professionals, researchers, managers and policy makers, industry and service providers, working in respiratory care from acute setting to home mechanical ventilation.

We are able to rely on the support of an international scientific committee and an advisory board to elaborate the program which also incorporates the suggestions we have collected from participants of the previous meetings.

The main driving forces will be: patients` experience as a driving force to promote collaborative care, innovative technology to solve the unmet needs of patients and a delivery of care than ensures accessibility, effectiveness and sustainability.

More than 65 sessions and pre-congress courses will take place during the three days conference with a especial emphasis in the active participation of delegates through the interactive electronic tools in combination with personal face-to-face relationships. Presentations and complementary material will by accessible trough a platform allowing direct access to all content at the end of the congress.
